    Today’s cameras make taking good photos easier than ever. Here are some tips to take your next batch of pics from good to great:

    •Move in close—isolate your subject in the frame so it really pops
    •Take some vertical pictures—don’t get stuck in horizontal-only mode
    •Apply the law of thirds—mentally divide the frame into equal thirds and place your subject off-center
    •Great light makes great pictures—for people pictures, the soft lighting of cloudy days is ideal
