    Fiber does a body good: it helps digestion and improves the absorption of valuable nutrients (and decreases the risk of certain diseases like heart disease). Here are some easy ways to increase your fiber-osity:

    •Eat at least 4 1/2 cups of fruits and vegetables each day—try apples, broccoli, berries, carrots, beans
    •Replace white bread with whole-grain breads and cereals, like oatmeal
    •Add 1/4 cup of wheat bran (miller's bran) to foods such as cooked cereal or applesauce or meat loaf.
