Biography

Darcy Alban, RYT, LCSW, MSW, has practiced Hatha yoga since 1995 and completed yoga teacher trainings at the Integral Yoga Institute of San Francisco (emphasizing teaching yoga to children) and at Avalon Art and Yoga Center of Palo Alto, where Anirudh Shastri, her mentor, is on the faculty. Darcy’s child and adult yoga classes incorporate postures, breathing, and relaxation to promote strength, flexibility, gratitude, acceptance, and a sense of inner calm. In addition to being a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance, Darcy is a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and a mom.
